Material 3 Expressive Revamp Of My Open-Source App!

I have always been deeply fascinated by Google’s Material Design philosophy. But the moment I explored Material 3 Expressive (M3E), I was hooked. 🎨✨

M3E makes mobile apps feel truly alive, personal, and expressive giving users tactile feedback, fluid motion, and playful shapes that adapt to their personality. I couldn't resist bringing this to life in my open-source app, Easy QR Toolkit!

Here is what went into this complete Material 3 Expressive revamp:

🔷 1. Tactile Connected Button Groups
Replaced rigid controls with fluid capsule groups (M3EButtonGroup) for Theme Mode, QR Shapes, and Logo Sizes with organic spring-squish physics.

🌸 2. Real-Time Bézier Morphing Swatches
Dynamic theme & QR colors animate a smooth Bézier morph from circles into playful expressive shapes like 4-sided cookies and radiant sunny stars (MaterialShapes).

📱 3. Adaptive Connected Card Lists
Transformed Settings and History into connected card lists (M3ECardList) that dynamically morph outer and inner corner radii.

💙 Powered by material_3_expressive and proud to have contributed upstream bug fixes and unit tests back to the package along the way!

Building with Material 3 Expressive reminded me why I love mobile development: when design and engineering meet, software feels like magic.
