Daily translation practice that actually teaches you the language

Every morning I translated three or four work emails into French — the language I'm trying to learn — and every morning I used the same tool, got one answer, sent the email, and retained nothing. The literal output was fine. I just had no idea if I'd written like a colleague or like a legal document.

I built konid to fix that loop. For any phrase you want to say, it returns three options ordered casual to formal, with the register explained and the differences between them named. Not "here is a translation" — more like: here's what you'd say to a friend, here's the professional version, here's the formal written register, and here's why they diverge.

For the French email problem, that distinction between tu and vous register isn't just grammar — it changes word choice, sentence structure, and what the email implies about your relationship with the recipient. Getting all three options at once, with that explained, is what made translation feel like practice instead of autocomplete.
